“Brazilian economy is strong and stable, the middle class and purchasing power are rising, we have ahead of us the 2014 Soccer World Cup and the Olympics Rio 2016, there are plenty of opportunities for investments and business development”.

MiT Forum: Part of the participants.
This was the main message of the seminar: Brazil, a carnival of opportunities”, that took place on June 23 at the Leon Recanati School of Business Administration at the Tel Aviv University.
The seminar was organized by the MIT Enterprise Forum of Israel, and was attended by about 100 Israeli business people.
The Israel-Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by its Chairman, Dr. Shmuel Yerushalmi, Prof. Yehuda Kahane (Honorary Member), Mirella Kuvent (Advisory Board) and Thomas Teichman (Director).
Dr. Ayla Matalon, Executive Director of MIT Entreprise Forum, Moderator of the event, introduced the lecturers, among them the lawyers specialized in Intellectual Property, Taxes and Corporate Law, Dr. Ilan Cohn of Reinhold Cohn Group of Israel, and Henrique Lopes and Benny Spiewak, of the Brazilian KLA (Koury Lopes Advogados) Group, who arrived specially from Brazil for the event; they covered the subject with very clear and precise words.
Other subjects in the seminar were: the activation of the Bi-Lateral Agreement on Industrial Research & Development and the Mercosul Agreement, this last stressing the Brazilian aspect, opportunities in the field of telecommunications, and the successful experience of Israeli companies in Brazil.
