Brazil reaches a record production and first surplus of the oil trade balance. The Country has recorded in December, 2009, a record in the national production of oil, with a daily average of 2.1 million barrels. In 2009, for the first time, the oil and derivatives trade balance reached surplus, a result of the difference of US$ 592 million between exports (US$ 15.4 billion) and imports (US$ 14.8 billion).
